She specializes in facilitating holistic, therapeutic, growth environments for individuals of all ages. Daphne's compassionate, yet firm, approach has helped hundreds of patients lead more fulfilling and productive lives. Daphne's gift lies in assisting her clients tap into their own creative path to wholeness.
"My goal is always to assist you in recovering, or finding for the first time, your own creative psyche's (soul's) journey and health of soma (the body). I will work with you according to what feels right for you, individually."
Daphne uses a wide range of therapeutic tools, including somatic therapy tools, gestalt work, solution-based therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness meditation tools, and intuitive wisdom work to assist her clients in transcending states of frustration, depression, and/or immobility (feeling stuck).
Daphne also has 14 years of experience facilitating women's wisdom healing workshops and programs for empowering the feminine.
Daphne specializes in assisting couples (heterosexual, bisexual, homosexual) in working through their relationship challenges in a timely, solution-focused way. Each couple is unique, but many relationship issues in our culture have commonality. In the therapy room, Daphne hones in on each person's strengths and the strength of the couple as a unit, and skillfully allows this already present wisdom to be the foundation for working through points of distrust, disagreement, resentment and pain. Daphne quickly facilitates the building of a safe therapeutic space for the couple to first identify the issues, confront them, release pent up pain, and allow for transformation and growth to emerge--both personal and for the couple.
Daphne has provided both inpatient and outpatient psychotherapy, including Play Therapy, to children and their families for several years, as well as in non-profit agency and school-based therapy settings. She has also worked with families in alcohol, substance abuse, and eating disorder/disordered eating rehabilitative healing centers.
